Last but not least is my brick wall. The only information I have on them is their name, which is listed on the church marriage record of their son, John Simpson (my great-grandfather). According to John’s census records, they were both born in Pennsylvania. John came to Indiana from Pittsburgh, PA, with an unrelated family when he was 10. Lucia’s surname could be spelled wrong. I’ve looked at all spellings, including Winchell, but had no luck. There is no birth verification on John except for census records that place him born between 1828 and 1833. I have no DNA that matches this line.
Richard SIMPSON
Birth: abt 1800 in Pennsylvania
Lucia Elizabeth WUNSCHULD
Birth: abt 1800 in Pennsylvania
It’s interesting that my brick wall is the one where they are born in the US!
That’s my family - my sixteen!
Lynda- This is a wonderful way to trace our heritage back a few generations. I love what you did here—even when you met a brick wall. It made me curious about certain parts of the family that I might not know yet. Thanks for this reminder.
So neat!;
