This is a GREAT story, Linda. I really identified with it, having been a flag corps member with the marching band in high school. Thanks for sharing this!

Nancy, We didn’t use flags much, but I vaguely remember them. Seems like when we used flags occasionally and we were called guidons. Glad you could identify!

This is such a fun story and look back at Evansville in the 60s. I love your photos and the way you stood up for yourself. I went to Bosse Field for minor league baseball games as a boy. I would have gone to North High had we not moved.
